First of all, Caleb will soon be potty trained. We've had 2 attempts at it thus far. He's great at it, but it's me who needs to be ready, I guess. My b.
Caleb is into three things BIG TIME right now. One is BASEBALL. Another is TOY STORY. And the last is HOARDING...
He finds whatever little doo-dad or nic-nac or trinket he can and he put it in his STASH. At the end of the day I take his stash and put it in the white basket where he can find it the next day and begin hoarding again. Eventually I go through it all and put it back where it goes and throw the trash away. He's hilarious.
We've also been working on eating at home more often. So far so good! It's been a fun adventure and we've felt very healthy and budget-happy.
Caleb and Anndi get along great. I'm pretty sure she's his biggest fan, and he loves that. He is so sweet to her. The other day she was crying and I heard Caleb run over to her. She stopped crying. He ran back to me and said, "I put her pacifier in."
Anndi is so bright and girlie. She is very dainty. She is so tall and thin, too. This girl loves playing with toys and laughing at Caleb.

Blood & Poop
Yes, the titles of this post is graphic. But, it describes what my Memorial Day 2010 was full of. We started out the day heading to the lake. It was cloudy and threatened rain. It was also the coolest day we've had in weeks. Not nice.
Yet, it turned out to be a fun time on the lake, as it always is! The whole family went, GaGa, GiGi, me, Blake, Caleb, Anndi, and Terry. We drove out to our favorite cove, which is a couple miles from the dock. Then, Blake wakeboarded. He got some pretty sweet air and loved it. Next, I got to ski on my cute pink ski with my cute pink lifevest. I got up on the first try and wore myself out. It was awesome.
Then... it was Terry's turn. He got out his kneeboard and just as he was getting in the water he said, "Um... I have to go #2." My dad asked if it could wait and he said no. So, instead of driving all the way back in to the dock, we told him to go swim to the little island there, find a spot, and do his thing. So, he did just that. He took a few of Anndi's baby wipes with him and, visible through some tiny trees, made his mark on that island.
Then, he got back to the boat, grabbed his rope, and got ready to kneeboard. My mom told him he should wear the helmet Blake always wears. So, he did and he started kneeboarding. He was rockin' the kneeboard. Getting huge air and twisting all around, spraying water up. Next thing we know, he hits the wake, got huge air, and did some kind of weird cartwheel-looking-twisty-turny-flip-thingy. He landed on his back with the board pointing straight up. It looked funny, but it did not turn out funny. He took the helmet off and was holding his right eye. We drove up and he took his hand off his eye and blood was all over his face.
My mom immediately got Blake to carry him into the boat. They put towels on his forehead and laid him down. My dad started driving back to the dock. My mom called 911 to get an ambulance there immediately. We did not know how severe the gash was or if it was affecting his brain or his eye. Then, we took a moment to have Blake and my dad give him a blessing. We knew he'd be okay. My dad started driving again. (In the wrong direction, too. We had to help him know which way to go. It was a bit traumatizing.)
The ambulance got Terry and my mom and took them straight to the nearest hospital. They saw him right away and got him stitched up and on antibiotics, since he had nasty lakewater all in his cut. He was just fine. We got all the food that we were going to eat on the boat and had a picnic outside the hospital. Then, we started to realize what had just happened. A kneeboard hit him square in the forehead at a rediculous force. Luckily he had his helmet on, or it could have sliced his scalp right off or worse. What a blessing.
Next thing I knew, Anndi was freakin' out in her carseat. We look over and she had exploded out of her diaper. Poop everywhere. It literally looked like a huge Costco-sized bottle of spicy mustard had been poured all over her. From her head to her toe. She had poop all over her legs, hands, face, and clothes. Not to mention all over her little booty. What a day. Oh, what a day. It was eventful and you know what, extremely memorable.
