A picture of your favorite band or artist

My favorite band is definitely Train. This is for several reasons. First, I love their distinct and unique sound. Their new album is by far my favorite. It's so hopeful, happy, and optimistic! (Guess it's kinda like me...) Second, Train is "our" band. Me and Blake's. One of our first dates as an official couple, Blake texted me during the day and said, "What do you want to do tonight?" And I said, "Dance and watch a movie!" He made that happen. First we watched a dance movie at Blake's friend's house. Then, after that we drove up high on the mountain in Provo and danced for hours to Train's album, Calling All Angels. It was the first time I'd heard the album. I'm pretty sure that night was when I knew I was in love with Blake and wanted to marry him.

A picture of something you love

I decided to skip the "A picture of something you hate" because what I hate I don't have pictures of, and I do not like to dwell on. So, now for something I love!! I LOVE sewing!! I made this outfit for my sister-in-law, Amber. She is about to have a baby girl, Mikiah, any day now!!! I love to sew. I love to sit down at my table with my sewing machine and create something out of beautiful, soft materials. I love how the machine stitches so quickly and helps me to create things. I love how it feels to accomplish a little project. I love sewing!!!

A picture of the person you do the most rediculous things with
I almost started crying, looking for pics with me and Nath in them. I miss her so much. The person I do the most rediculous things with is definitely my lil Nath.
Nath and I were very close friends in high school, and best friends in college. We were roommates at BYU and pretty much had the best time together ever. When we roomed together, we spent about 97% of our free time together. Nath and I are a perfect team because she is incredibly creative and comes up with things to do, and then suggests them to me, and I am incredibly optimistic and always just say, "LET'S DO IT!" Thus, we have done some rediculous things, and they have all been SO MUCH FUN.
Some fun rediculous things we have done together off the top of my head:
- Wear black glitter tights with knee-length black skirts to high school. (I mean those things were SUPER glittery)
- Go to EFY as roommates and tell everyone our names were Fern and Clover.
- Walk down the sidewalk on a very busy street on Cinco De Mayo, dragging behind us tons of plastic cups attatched to yarn... Arriba!
- Grocery shopping always included one of us in the shopping cart and the other one pushing. Sometimes the one in the shopping cart would call out to people, then look away. "Hey, guy!..."
- Almost picked up road kill in the middle of a 5 lane road... "AHH!! IT LOOKS LIKE A CHIHUAHA!"
- Participate in a ward talent show... we lip synced to a really awful punk rock song that has absolutely no melody...
- Driving from Tennessee to Nebraska with a 3 year old, 2 year old, 1 year old, and 8 month old.

A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most
This would have to be my mom! She's gotten me through, let's see... the birth canal, pre school, elementary school, middle school, high school, young women's program, seminary, 12 years of piano lessons, 10 years of gymnastics, sports, cheer, dance, college, first time in the temple, getting married, being pregnant twice, having newborns twice, postpartum depression twice... and millions of other things. Thank you, mom. Love you.

A picture of your most treasured item
My most treasured possession has got to be my wedding ring, because it symbolizes the best choice I ever made, aside from my faithfulness in the Gospel. I love my Blakey.

A picture of your favorite memory
This was a hard one. I first thought of our wedding day. Then I thought of both of the days my kids were born. Then I thought of all of my days at EFY. I knew the memory would be one with Blake. I thought of times while we were dating, and then this memory popped into my head. Our Chicago Trip in January 2007. We were there for a week, staying in the Marriott on the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. It was FREEZING cold and we barely had adequate attire for the cold, but it was all good. We walked around the whole city and fully enjoyed ourselves! Sometimes when it was almost too cold to bear, we would walk from one Starbucks to the next, getting caramel apple ciders one after the other.
There were three magical parts of the whole trip. First was of course seeing Wicked. It was an incredible show, and I was so full of adrenaline afterward that we walked the whole way back (we took a cab there in the first place because it was kind of far), and I talked Blake's ear off about how amazing it was!
Second was ice skating in the middle of downtown Chicago as snow falled around us. Beautiful and memorable! I love ice skating with Blake, he's so good at it. We have so much fun when we ice skate together! I will never forget this.
Third was a moment that changed my life. We were absolutely incredibly cold. We had ordered a pizza at a cute little pizza place near our hotel and were waiting for it. We took a walk and went in a couple of the extremely ritzy hotel lobbies. We were sitting in one entry way to a hotel, just to warm up from the cold. A man walked in and sat on the bench next to us. I could tell without looking directly at him that he was homeless. I know he was trying to warm up. Immediately, a worker approached him and asked him to leave. He begged for a moment out of the cold. The worker insisted he leave. After he left, I began to bawl. I could not handle it. Here we were, two people who probably made in 6 months what it cost to stay in one of this hotel's ritzy rooms, clearly not belonging in our minds, and the man next to us was dismissed into the cold. He was dismissed, not us. And it was because of what he was wearing and how he maintained his appearance.
I understand the reason for the worker's action, but it just really hit home when it happened right next to me. The week after we got home from this vacation, we went and saw "The Pursuit of Happyness" with Will Smith. My heart was officially changed forever.

A picture of the cast from your favorite show
Gilmore Girls. I cannot even explain in words how much I love this show. The first time I ever saw it, Blake and I took a trip to my home while we were dating. He slept in the guest room. In the morning, I heard the tv on in the guest room, and the door cracked open. I went in, and to my astonishment, at 8 am in the morning, Blake and my brother Terry were sitting there watching Gilmore Girls. Although that irony made me laugh and laugh, I did not particularly like it at the time. But, several years later I needed something to do while I folded laundry, so I borrowed a neighbor's Season 1 of Gilmore Girls. I was hooked.
I adore these two brunettes and their love of food, small towns, and friends. If I need something to uplift me on a hard day, Gilmore Girls it is. Watching this show is like escaping into a world of sunshine. A world where you can eat as much as you want, gain no weight, live in a town with everything within walking distance, and be constantly surrounded by people who love you. A world where you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.
Some Favorite Quotes:
Lorelai: And it's so hard to believe that at exactly this time, many moons ago, I was lying in exactly this same position.
Rory: Oh boy, here we go.
Lorelai: Only I had a huge fat stomach, and big fat ankles, and I was swearing like a sailor...
Rory: On leave.
Lorelai: On leave, right. And there I was...
Rory: In labor.
Lorelai: And while some have called it the most meaningful experience of your life, to me it was something more akin to doing the splits on a crate of dynamite.
Rory: I wonder if the Waltons ever did this.
Lorelai: And I was screaming and swearing, and being surrounded as I was by a hundred prominent doctors, I just assumed there was an actual use for the cup of ice chips they gave me.
Rory: There wasn't.
Lorelai: But pelting the nurses sure was fun.
Rory: I love you, mom.
Lorelai: Shush, I'm getting to the part where he sees your head... So there I was...
Lorelai: So, not only did you GO to a cop raided party, but you were the cause of the fight that caused the raid
Rory: Yes...
Lorelai: This fence is broken because of you. This crap is on the ground because of you
Rory: What's your point?
Lorelai: [singing] Did you ever know that you're my heeero. You're everything I wish I could be!
Luke: Me? Raising a kid? I don't even like kids. They're always sticky like they've got jam on their hands. Even if there's no jam in the house, somehow, they've always got jam on their hands! I'm not the right guy to deal with that. I have no patience for jam hands!
Lorelai: First of all, Jess is 17 so I think he's probably pass the jam hands stage by now. Second of all, you can do this. If you want to you are totally capable.

A picture of you and the person you have been close with for awhile...

Blake and I have been close for a very long time! We met when we were 16 & 17 back in the summer of 2000. We were buddies from then on, and then in fall 2004 became boyfriend and girlfriend, and then were married April 2005. I love this man with all my heart and thank God every day that we chose to be with each other forever.
