I LOVE Nebraska, Long Car Rides, and Sewing!!!

I think I'd love anything as long as I did it with this chicadee...
I love my lil Nath. She and I have been tight ever since we played together as preschoolers. Well, moreso since we were buddies in High School and roommies in College. COLLEGE!!!

Nath and I drove from here to Lincoln, Nebraska in her van with her 3 year old & 1 1/2 year old and my 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old. It was about a 12 hour drive and we took the trip in 2 days.

Nath found the perfect midway stopping point for us in the middle of Missouri. We hit Chuch-E-Cheese and let the kids run around. Then, we stayed at a comfy hotel that had an awesome breakfast the next morning.

For some unknown reason everyone and their mother had to say, "Wow, you've got your hands full" wherever we went together!? :)

You'd think I'd gone on vacation to Hawaii. I felt so relaxed and happy in Nebraska. Caleb woke up every morning sooooo excited to see his two buddies. We got the whole basement to ourselves in Nath's house, so we had PLENTY of room.

One of the coolest places I've ever been was the Children's Museum. It was like a GINORMOUS play house with tons of little stores and play things and just a huge 3 story place for imagination.

It was so fun that I HAD TO TAKE PART.

Anndi got the ride of her life in one of the TINY shopping carts.

Nath and I are so productive when we are together. We took a shopping trip to Target together where we got so much awesome stuff for like NOTHING because it was all on clearance!

We sewed a whole lot, too! Here we are working on the kids' Halloween costumes.

Of course, the days were not exactly PEACEFUL... they were as we liked to call it "Pandemonium." Kids everywere. Someone was always crying. But, it didn't matter. We still had fun.

I miss Colton...

And of course I miss Rogan too...

Farty Party

Meet "Yellow Baby"... (named by Caleb)
Yellow Baby went poo poo and pee pee in the potty this morning. Caleb potty trained him. He got treats and stickers. He also got to take a trip to the store to get balloons, and a trip to the library for potty books. Then we had a "Farty Party" at lunch for him!

After lunch, we all had naps and then when Caleb woke up he opened a present - Undies!!! He wore them all day and had no pee pee accidents in them. We even went out to dinner for a few hours for Niki's birthday party. Caleb had a major poo poo accident there in his Undies, but I think he learned a lot today!

PS I got the doll at Goodwill for like a doller. Holla at me. Aren't you proud of me Nath!?

Cakes

I've been so busy with cakes!!! I LOVE IT.

Nath is a Photography Genius!!

Nathalie took these ADORABLE pictures of Anndi! She's sooo awesome at taking pictures. And Anndi's SUCH a model. :)

Nathalie and I came up with this outfit together. She's had the material and idea for the skirt for a while, then she saw the adorable onesies that Scarlet and Chris made for Anndi, where they appliqued an owl and a cowboy boot on the onesies. So, we bought these onesies and made up the elephant pattern for them. It was sooo fun. I love sewing with Nath.

YES!!! HERE THEY COME!

I was feeding Anndi a ginormous lunch of baby food, crackers, and grapes and I got a glimpse...
...of teeth trying to poke their way out of Anndi's gums!!!! Yay! Here they come!!!

Maybe hair will follow these bad boys... hehehe

"OH WE'VE GOT A RUNNER!!!" (Quote from Gilmore Girls for those of you diehard fans like me.)

Caleb ran in the Franklin Classic 1K. He was so cute!!!! He whined the whole race and wanted me or Ga-Ga to pick him up until we reached the finish line which is down mainstreet.
There were hundreds of people cheering him and the other little tikes on at the finish line.

We couldn't be more proud of our little runner. Cuuuute.

It really didn't help with his whining to have the "Scary Mascot," as he called it, in the race as well. This is Terry in the Sonic Coney Dog costume.

Our Awesome Summer!

It has been a great summer!!! We've gotten to do so many fun things as a family, and also fun things with my family and Blake's family. One fun thing we did this summer was go to the Rodeo...

And we've taken two trips to the beach, one to the Atlantic Ocean with my family. We rode in an RV down to Atlanta, Georgia. We hit the Chattanooga Acquarium and Six Flags, then headed over to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Caleb things all large trucks are "RB's" now! He loved riding in the RV, and of course loved the beach. The Atlantic Ocean was warm water and hot sun. It was amazing.
We also took a trip with Blake's family to California!!! We hit Disneyland twice, California Adventure once, and the beach twice.

The Pacific Ocean was FREEEEEZING cold and the weather was only mild. It was still really fun to be at the beach, though, and we of course LOVED Disneyland.

Caleb fell in love with all of his cousins all over again at Disneyland. He always asks, "Where's Preston? At the Disneyland? Where's Danika?"

I have also found myself very busy with cakes this summer!!!!!!! I wouldn't have it any other way. :) I just adore making cakes. These two were two of my favorite cakes I've ever made and I'm completely addicted now.

I am in search of the best ever recipes out there for every flavor of cake right now. So far, I have white cake down pat, lemon cake, and chocolate cake. Let me know if you know of any incredible recipes I can try! This was one of my tester lemon cakes. The baby shower cake above was a lemon cake. I wanted the best so I tried a few recipes. This one was entirely from scratch and took about an hour just to prepare. The one I ended up deciding was the BEST ever lemon cake was half scratch, using a lemon cake mix as the base. It was even more amazing that way, also with a homemade lemon curd filling. MMMMmmmmm....

Anndi girl is getting HAIR!!!!!!!! I am just aching to put it in a little ponytail and pop a bow on it. CUUUTE! Her hair is coming in brown and straight, like mine!

Caleb is so tan. We have been to the pool a lot and his skin is like his daddy's. He gets brown very quickly.

We have had such a great summer! I hope you all have as well.
