Halloween Outfits!

We always love beautiful October in Tennessee. The weather is mild and the leaves are beautiful.

Caleb looks SOOO cute in these overalls!
And Anndi in her purple...
I actually MADE Halloween outfits for my kids this year! Wowie! I bought the hat, but I applique'd both of their shirts and stitched around the outside of the applique's, and made Anndi's skirt!!! Are you so proud of me???

Cousin Friends!

We were privileged to get a visit from my dear cousin Valorie and her 3 little girls, Claire (5), Annie (3), and Lucy (7 months)! It was such a blast!!!!
Valorie and I happened to have the same outfit for Anndi and Lucy. They are 9 weeks apart in age and will be great friends.

Precious little girls these ones...
It was incredible how well these three got along, especially with the age and gender difference!
The first night, we headed to Sonic for dinner and all the kids got the cool Halloween sunglasses!
After Sonic, we went to the Sonic softball game that Blake, my dad, and my brother played in. But it got thundered out so we had to leave. We trudged through the wet red mud to watch the game, it was fun.
The next day we headed for the zoo. The first hour was pandemonium, because all the kids were hungry. But then, once we sat down for lunch, everything went very smoothe!
The kids loved seeing the animals and walking around together. The elephants were especially awesome this day, very close up and they were all playing with huge tree trunks.
The babies were dressed in their twin outfits and looked gorgeous.
Lucy learned a little bit about sitting up while she was here! Last day, we went to Target for some mommy shopping time, then hit the park. Fun in the sun on a beautiful fall day!
Pretty pretty Anndi
Claire and Annie helped pushing the babies!
Caleb could not remember all the girls names so he just called them "Friend!" or "Cousin!" He always woke up, "Where are my friends?" or "Where are my cousins?" He still asks it all the time.

Valorie and I also got to go running one of the mornings at 6:30 am. We ran 5 miles and I was SORE the next day. We are both doing the half marathon in Memphis this year! It was so much fun having a visit from these 4 lovely ladies. Thank you for coming out, Val! Can't wait til we visit in December!

Farmer's Market Fall Festival!

I met up with Tasha and Nicole and their little girls at the Fall Festival. They had free pumpkins we could paint, face painting, and then booths with food and crafts for sale!
Emery and Maycie. Gorgeous girls!

And adorable little Mayci! Caleb was so excited. I was like, "caleb, want to get your face painted." He said, "Yes!" Then he ran over to the pumpkin painting table, picked up a paintbrush, and swiped it across his chin. Purple paint on his chin. Yes. Hilarious!
He wanted to be a cat!

Wouldnt they be a cute couple?... in 20 years!?

No idea where he got these purple teeth but they look hysterical on him!

Running... I ran 42.3 miles in 7 days...

I ran the Women's Half Marathon all by myself a couple weekends ago! It was a blast and I got my personal record. Then, I ran a 3 mile training run a few days later. Then, a few days after that, my dad and I ran the St. George Full Marathon! Another personal record, so it was a really great week for me, running-wise! I can't wait to get running again. My legs are still recovering a little, but I'm excited!

Final Bit of Nebraska Pictures!

Can't wait to have a sleepover with you all again!

The car ride was awesome chaos. We had a blast climbing all over the van. I've been converted though, I think I may need a van someday!

Had a blast at the park one day.
Two Baby Swings, 4 small children...
Sewing... oh how I miss sewing...
And the baths!!! Hilarious! "HOT! *SPLASH* HOT! *SPLASH* GIGGLE GIGGLE GIGGLE!"
Anndi having fun in the bathroom also!
The "pandemonium" sometimes resulted in tortured toys...
The boys really had a great time together.
Love Colton driving the car at Chuck-E-Cheese's.
And of course the plane ride home! Anndi in the airport waiting for our first plane. My two kids were the ONLY kids on both plane rides home... yes the ONLY ones.

Potty Training: I'm Such a Newbie

So... I could NOT be more proud of my little Caleb!!!!!!!! He has been working so hard on potty training the past 2 1/2 days. Going #2 in the potty is the hardest thing for him to grasp, and I hear this is quite normal. But, tonight he did his thang and he was so proud of himself and we all were so excited! And the kicker - we get on a plane tomorrow to go to St. George and Las Vegas. Family trip for a week. I'm doing the St. George Marathon with my dad, and then we are hitting up the Sonic Convention. Little Caleb will be barely potty training and have a trip across the U.S. It should be FUN!!! :)

I LOVE Nebraska, Long Car Rides, and Sewing!!!

I think I'd love anything as long as I did it with this chicadee...
I love my lil Nath. She and I have been tight ever since we played together as preschoolers. Well, moreso since we were buddies in High School and roommies in College. COLLEGE!!!

Nath and I drove from here to Lincoln, Nebraska in her van with her 3 year old & 1 1/2 year old and my 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old. It was about a 12 hour drive and we took the trip in 2 days.
Nath found the perfect midway stopping point for us in the middle of Missouri. We hit Chuch-E-Cheese and let the kids run around. Then, we stayed at a comfy hotel that had an awesome breakfast the next morning.
For some unknown reason everyone and their mother had to say, "Wow, you've got your hands full" wherever we went together!? :)
You'd think I'd gone on vacation to Hawaii. I felt so relaxed and happy in Nebraska. Caleb woke up every morning sooooo excited to see his two buddies. We got the whole basement to ourselves in Nath's house, so we had PLENTY of room.
One of the coolest places I've ever been was the Children's Museum. It was like a GINORMOUS play house with tons of little stores and play things and just a huge 3 story place for imagination.
It was so fun that I HAD TO TAKE PART.
Anndi got the ride of her life in one of the TINY shopping carts.
Nath and I are so productive when we are together. We took a shopping trip to Target together where we got so much awesome stuff for like NOTHING because it was all on clearance!
We sewed a whole lot, too! Here we are working on the kids' Halloween costumes.
Of course, the days were not exactly PEACEFUL... they were as we liked to call it "Pandemonium." Kids everywere. Someone was always crying. But, it didn't matter. We still had fun.
I miss Colton...
And of course I miss Rogan too...

We love you guys!!!
