New Family Pictures!

For the first time in AGES, my side of the family all got together and went to Sears for a family portrait. It was fun, atleast for me it was! All the boys, including Caleb, wore black suits and blue ties, with white button-up shirts. My mom and I wore black dresses. It turned out well!

My Momita

I have decided that God has blessed me in so many ways that I cannot count. One of those ways is the mom He blessed me with. I can think of a bagillion reasons that she is the best mom I could ask for, but here are 10 that come to mind first:

1- She gave birth to me. That was nice of her.

2- She made my breakfast, lunch, and dinner for nearly all my meals for the first 18 years of my life.

3- She was home every single day I got home from school, except like 2. I remember those 2 days distinctly, because she warned me she would not be there and let me know what to do.

4- If I ever need help with anything or getting something done, she's all over it before I can even think to ask for help. One time, I told her I wanted to find a pillow topper for my bed. Two days later, she was putting a brand new pillow topper that had come in the mail on my bed.

5- She is literally the perfect example of a healthy lifestyle. If you want to eat healthy at a restaurant, just order exactly like my mom. Ever since I can remember she has exercised multiple times a week. More recently, she exercises every single week day.

6- My mom has a direct line of communication with God. I always know when she is praying for something because this amazing thing will happen to me, and I'll tell her... then I look at her and I say, "Mom, have you been praying for me?" She always has a smile on her face when I ask!

7- She has a solid testimony of the Gospel that I have never doubted my whole life. She puts 110% into every calling she has had, even when she was in Scouts!

8- She was always there at major events in my life. I mean always. Every high school dance, holiday activity, award ceremony, cheerleading tryouts, even girl's camp, and let me tell you, I don't know anyone who hates camping more than my mom!

9- My mom and dad both are the best examples of service that I can think of in my life. They give give give give give. They are always thinking about others and how they can help. It has been such a blessing to watch this my whole life.

10- At the hardest times in my life, my mom has been right there to help me through in the ways I needed her. She has shown so much support and love, making my burdens lighter. I have always needed my mom in my life, but have never worried that she wouldnt be there to support me.

I love you mom, thank you for everything. I hope to be as incredible of a mom as you are someday!!!!!

Stay At Home Mom?

Help. It is 2 a.m. and I need help. I am barely surviving here. I have an amazing life with nothing left for wanting. Perfect hubby. Perfect baby. Perfect Gospel. Perfect house. Perfect dog. What more is there??

Yet, the postpartum part of having a baby has given me a run for my money apparently. If you dont know much about it, just know I've had a hard time. I'll spare the details. It sucks when you have everything you've ever dreamed of, and you struggle every day to be happy.

I need help because I know a lot of stay at home moms read my blog. How do you do it? Please let me know how I can find purpose in this little life of mine. I take care of Caleb... sure that's important, but he has lots of people who love him and take care of him too. I am good at many things, but I am not REALLY GOOD at anything. That's something that's always been hard for me. I think it's because I am lazy and dont try hard enough at things.

I am not looking for compliments, I just need to know how I can survive this mom world. I LOVE my baby boy. C-bear is the COOLEST. I feel so ungrateful when I am unhappy, but I simply cannot help it sometimes. If you have any advice, please help me. I need it.

Caleb's Cruisin!

It has begun. Caleb already has a power wheels... and an elmo cell phone... Yes, this boy is a lucky one! His grandparents love to get him stuff. And he loves this power wheels! Of course, he has not yet figured out the red button so I either sit on the back of it with him or I bend over and push the button while walking with him. He LOVES it!!!!

Some old pics I found on my dad's computer: Here is Caleb when he first figured out water comes out of a straw. He loves it. Just this week he figured out a sippy cup! Yay Caleb!
And this picture is from our visit to Cedar Point. Caleb has already been to THREE different theme parks. He has been to Disney World, Cedar Point, and Lagoon. It has been a busy year for this little dude.

Like His Mommy

Here is a picture of Caleb when he first held his head up. My dad is holding him up.

And here is a picture of me at 3 months old. My dad is also holding me up!I know, I agree, Caleb is a much cuter baby than I was. Man he's gonna be a looker!

Laughing Quadruplets

Oh my gosh I love this video too. It makes me laugh SO hard!!!!

BabyBeyonce

I love love love this video!!! I first saw it a few years ago. It's hilarious. Enjoy!

Gotta love this smile!!!

This smile lights up my life. My dad asked "Have you ever seen someone smile so much with their eyes!?" I said, yes, his daddy! Blake has the best smile, and Caleb inherited it!!! Yay for the world, more sunshine smiles!!!

I love this time of life!

Well, everyone told me to, "watch out for when he starts moving around!" Well, so far it has been a blast! Caleb is so much fun!!! We are LOVING it!
He laughs, smiles, crawls, pulls up to standing. He even learned how to wave the other day and I think it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. I am still trying to get it on video.
So, Caleb stands up in his crib sometimes, but I have read that I should not go in and help him back down, so I don't. Eventually, he ends up happily asleep somehow!
Even though he is crawling and scooting around, he still likes to be carried a lot. I love that, because i don't have to carry him all day long, but he will let me if I want to. He and I have fun running errands together. It makes me feel like a good mom when we grocery shop together and pick out fresh fruits and veggies.
Blake, me, my mom, and my dad did a relay triathlon this week, the Old Hickory Lake Tri, and we won again! My dad swam an awesome swim, my mom ran the first leg of the run, Blake biked, and I finished off the last leg of the run. It was awesome!
