Bellies and Punkins

Our good friends Chris and Scarlet, or as Caleb calls them, "Kiss and Karlet," (he adores them) are pregnant at the same time as us! They are having their first, and Scarlet is just 2 weeks ahead of me. We have a great time discussing our pregoness.
We went on a fun date tonight with them to Corky's Barbecue and Cold Stone, then home for some games. We ate a lot so the boys decided to take belly pictures too. I love how Blake is holding his little bloated belly up like a pregnant lady. He is so funny.
Also, we had another Young Men's sleepover at our house this week during fall break. It is so fun having these boys over. This time only 4 were able to come, so they took charge of the master bedroom with video games and stinky socks. Gotta love it. This is how we found them in the morning.

Cake Baking and Partying

I got to make a bridal shower cake for my friend Myriam. I had a blast doing a square cake! Oh so fun. Go here (or to the link to the left, "MY CAKE BLOG!") to see more of my cakes lately!

Here I am in all my roundness with the lovely bride herself. And we've been attending lots of parties and showers lately. Well I guess I have been attending showers. I love these events. Here are Caleb and Blake after last week's wedding that I made a cake for. Aren't they handsome boys???

My 2nd Wedding Cake Experience!

So I got to do another wedding cake this week. No fondant, she only wanted buttercream. Of course it took a bunch of assistance from Blake and my mom to get the freakin' huge thing finished and to the building. I swear the bottom tier weighs probably 30 pounds alone.

This cake is a little bigger than the last cake, because the bottom tier is 2 inches wider. After lots of prayer and hard work, it turned out lovely and I was sooooooooooo excited! My cake blog can be found in my blog links to the left, below the tickers.

It's official....

... Caleb could fit in with Blake's high school friends...

Caleb has made a new friend. Her name is Mayci, and she's downright adorable. Plus we like her parents, Nicole and Tim. :) Tonight, they all came over for dinner, and Caleb went in to hear his favorite song, the Black Eyed Peas song from the post before this, and he yelled from the other room, "Mayci!!! C'mon!!!" It was sooo cute. First time he's ever done that. He was SO excited she was there! Mayci is about 6 months younger, but very tough and athletic and holds up well to Caleb!

Six Months Along Today!

Today is exactly 3 months until my due date, January 4th. Yay we are 6 months and counting - 27 weeks along!

I LOVE OCTOBER IN TENNESSEE!!!!

Tennessee has GORGEOUS fall weather. We got lots of rain in September, and then when the sun decided to come out, it felt crisp and 65 to 75 degrees outside, clear cloudless sky. Absolutely beautiful. The nights are not too cold either, and we have had some fun playing outside.
This has never ever ever happened before so I had to take a picture. What a cutie.

Chuck-E-Cheese with Gi-Gi

Tonight after General Conference, Caleb and I went to Chuck-E-Cheese with Gi-gi (my mom). We had a blast and ate lots of pizza. It was awesome!

Loving Mommyhood

Check out the HUGE puddle of water below him. I mean like the huge lake of water below him. He was playing in the sink. It was fun for him. He is sopping wet here. I loved it. Blake walked in and said, "... who's watching you??"
Here Caleb is with Caesar, the Hissong's dog who we kept for a weekend. He calls him "LIL-LE PUPPY" (little puppy). They bonded. And this picture is gross...

Caleb LOVES when I make anything with a mixer. He shouts out, "Cake! Cake! Cake!" while pushing a chair up to the counter. Then, he usually reaches into the bowl. Cute.
He thought he was pretty funny trying on mommy's shoes. (with only one sock on, even)

This time of motherhood has been REALLY FUN!!!!!!! I wish I knew it was going to be this awesome back when he was just crying and spitting up all over me all the time. Now I know.

Hilarious 20-Month-Old Boy

Every day Caleb amazes us. Today we were teaching him "thank you," which we teach him over and over every day. Finally, I gave him some frosting I was making and he said all by himself, "Tay-too, Mommy." He also loves to repeat to himself over and over, "Tay-too, ya welcome... tay-too, ya welcome..." Last night we had all the young men but 1 over for a sleepover. Here are some pics of Caleb fitting in with some of the action. By the morning, he remembered all of their names and kept saying, "Tyler! Andrew! Blithe!" or anyone's name who he could remember, and getting them to pay attention to them. What a memory. Maybe he has Blake's memory... it's not mine! :)
